Pool Area
OPENING PERIOD: from 15 June to 15 October; the swimming pool is not heated, and its opening period may undergo variations due to climatic conditions. Guests are invited to check the actual availability of the area before booking, the actual availability of the area which is accessible while seats last. Priority for bookings is given to people staying in the village.
As you can see, our swimming pool needs no introduction. It elegantly overlooks the Gulf of Squillace and is considered by our guests as the most relaxing and pleasant place in the Borgo. Immersed in a suggestive natural vegetation, it offers peace and refuge from the chaos of the city (which is always a stone’s throw away, in case you want it).
When you see it for the first time, framed between the blue of the sky and the sea, with the rhythmic roar of the fountains and the scents of the nature in which it is immersed, you cannot remain indifferent. The pool has a circular low depth area meant for the little ones and a classic rectangular structure which follows a gentle and progressive slope up to the maximum depth of 1.70 m.
The area has a small bar, public toilets and is adjacent to our fresh air Pinewood with its hammocks, several deck chairs and the dining-barbecue area with sea view. The swimming pool is reserved for the guests of the Borgo (included in the overnight rates); in low and mid season periods, however, it is also open to “outsiders” but always with a limited number that preserves its full enjoyment. You can therefore enjoy it by booking together with a complete lunch or one of our plate of cured meats and cheeses or other house specialties.
